Weight Loss Supplements - Which do I choose?

The consumer is bombarded with a plethora of weight loss supplements available on the market today, everything from fat burners, to appetite suppressants, to water pills. The makers all tout these products as the best, but how are you supposed to know what is effective? Furthermore, many of these products have been shown to be unsafe, and more are being pulled from the shelves everyday because of they have been proved to be unsafe.

It is important to talk with a doctor familiar with the products to determine what is best and safe for you. The following is a short list of the products available out there to assist you in your battle with the bulge:

  • Appetite suppressants: herbs and natural supplements are used to control appetite and therefore assist in weight management.

  • Thyroid balance: one of the best ways to lose weight healthfully. Getting your thyroid in balance will enhance your quality of life, give you more energy as well as cause you to lose weight.
  • Energy boosters: usually comprised of stimulants that are designed to keep your body moving. Make sure to use a product that is all natural without harmful synthetic stimulants or caffeine.
  • Green tea: a natural anti-oxidant that has been shown to be effective as a complementary therapy for weight loss.
  • Apple cider vinegar: may help lower serum cholesterol levels and slow down the absorption of fat in the small intestine, increase the metabolic rate.
